Available Pro 3 speeds and networks
Pro 3 is an upgrade to an eligible Vodafone full-fibre package. It does not turn a 150Mbps connection into a faster broadband line. It changes the router, Wi-Fi equipment and additional services supplied with that connection.
Current Pro 3 listings include packages from Full Fibre 150 to Full Fibre 2.2. Availability depends on whether the premises can receive Vodafone through Openreach, CityFibre or Community Fibre.

Full Fibre 150 provides enough bandwidth for many small and medium-sized households. Full Fibre 500 is sufficient for most larger homes. Full Fibre 910 and multi-gigabit packages mainly reduce the time needed for large downloads and provide more capacity for numerous busy devices.
A package above 910Mbps is most useful when the home has Wi-Fi 7 devices or 2.5Gbps wired equipment. Most individual phones, televisions and older computers cannot use the complete speed.
Ultra Hub 7 and Wi-Fi 7
The Ultra Hub 7 replaces the Wi-Fi 6 Power Hub supplied with Standard Vodafone broadband.
It is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router using the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It does not provide a separate 6GHz band. Its Wi-Fi 7 features include Multi-Link Operation, which allows a compatible device to use connections across both available bands.
The router also supports OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 4096-QAM. These technologies help it manage numerous connected devices and make more efficient use of the available wireless capacity.
Wi-Fi 7 benefits require compatible equipment. Older Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4 devices can still connect, but they remain limited by their own wireless hardware.
The Ultra Hub 7 includes two 2.5Gbps-capable Ethernet connections and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Vodafone states that its 2.2Gbps package speed is achieved through a wired connection. Actual results remain below theoretical port and Wi-Fi limits because of network overheads, device capability and local conditions.
The router includes a fibre connection, telephone connection and support for Vodafone’s mesh equipment. Vodafone’s Super WiFi Boosters and internet-based home phone depend on Vodafone equipment, which limits the practicality of replacing the Ultra Hub 7 with a third-party router.
Super WiFi 7 Booster and whole-home guarantee
Pro 3 includes one Super WiFi 7 Booster. It forms a mesh network with the Ultra Hub 7 and extends the same wireless network into areas that receive a weaker router signal.
The booster should be placed between the router and the weak-signal area. Installing it inside the room with no usable signal can leave it without a sufficiently strong connection to relay.
Vodafone’s guarantee follows this process:
- Vodafone and its Broadband Xperts investigate the Wi-Fi problem.
- The first included booster is installed and checked.
- Vodafone can provide two additional boosters if they are needed.
- The complete system can therefore use a maximum of three boosters.
- If it still cannot deliver at least 10Mbps in every room, the customer can request to leave without an early termination charge.
The cancellation request must be made within 30 days of receiving the third booster. Customers must use Vodafone’s supplied equipment and complete its troubleshooting process.
The 10Mbps target provides a basic usable connection for browsing, video calls and HD streaming. It does not guarantee that each room will receive the broadband package’s complete speed. A customer taking Full Fibre 910 or 2.2Gbps could meet the guarantee while receiving only a small proportion of that speed in a distant room.
4G Broadband Back-up
The backup dongle plugs into the Pro 3 router and uses Vodafone’s mobile network when the fixed broadband connection suffers a total loss of service.
Switching happens automatically. The router returns devices to the fixed connection after the fault has been resolved.
The dongle includes 100GB of mobile data each month. Customers who use the allowance during a fixed-line fault can contact Broadband Xperts, who may add more data without an additional charge.
Its usefulness depends on the Vodafone 4G signal inside the property. Browsing, email and ordinary work applications may continue normally with a good signal, but high-quality streaming, large downloads and online gaming may become slower.
The dongle is not a general mobile broadband service. It must remain connected to the Vodafone router, cannot be used for roaming and is intended only for fixed-line faults.
Broadband Xperts and Secure Net Home
Broadband Xperts monitor the service during the first 90 days after installation. Pro 3 customers also receive prioritised technical support after this initial period.
The team provides remote assistance with router setup, Wi-Fi coverage and connection problems. It does not normally visit the premises, although it can arrange an engineer when the problem requires one.
Secure Net Home is included without an additional monthly charge. It protects up to 128 devices connected through the home network and provides:
- Protection against malicious websites and common online threats.
- Individual profiles for household members.
- Website and content filters.
- Time limits and access schedules.
- Internet pauses for selected devices.
The service must be activated through Vodafone’s apps or account portal. Its protection mainly applies while devices use the Vodafone home connection, so separate security remains useful when a phone, tablet or computer uses another network.
Pro 3 vs Pro 2
Pro 2 remains available for new customers in areas where Vodafone cannot provide full fibre. The choice between Pro 2 and Pro 3 is therefore normally determined by the connection available at the premises.

Pro 2 supplies more advanced Wi-Fi equipment than the standard Power Hub, but it cannot remove the speed limitations of the copper line entering the home.

Vodafone Pro 3 is worth considering when weak Wi-Fi affects several rooms, the household depends on broadband for work, or a fixed-line outage would cause a significant problem. The included booster, managed guarantee and automatic 4G backup are more important than Wi-Fi 7 for many households.
It also makes sense when ordering a multi-gigabit package. The Ultra Hub 7 has the Ethernet and Wi-Fi capability needed to distribute speeds above one gigabit, although compatible devices are required.
