Standard packages including fibre come with landline and pay-as-you-go call while full fibre FTTP packages don’t have a landline.

Shell Energy gives a basic Wi-Fi router (Technicolor TG588V V2) for their ADSL plan (11Mbps) and a dual-band Wi-Fi router (Technicolor DWA0120) for their fibre broadband packages.

Shell Energy WiFi router

Shell Energy provides different routers for their fibre broadband and ADSL customers.

If you have a fibre broadband plan, you will receive an advanced router called the Technicolor DWA0120.

For those with the ADSL plan, a basic router called the Technicolor TG588 v2 is provided.

The Technicolor DWA0120 Wi-Fi router is more advanced, featuring the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, dual bands, and 4 gigabit ports. This router is great for faster internet connections and can handle multiple devices without any problems.

In contrast, the Technicolor TG588 v2 is a simpler router with a single band, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and 4 Ethernet LAN ports. This router is suitable for basic internet connections.

Home phone

Shell Energy offers various call plans for their broadband customers who frequently use their home phones. These plans are helpful because standard pay-as-you-go (PAYG) call rates can be costly.

  • Evenings & Weekends Calls – This plan includes calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles during evenings and weekends, providing affordable rates for those who mostly make calls during off-peak hours.
